I had an opportunity to talk with Natalie Myre, an independent Arbonne consultant. Arbonne offers Swiss developed skin care and other products for healthy living and the distribution is by independent consultants like Natalie Myre. Their business model offers a great way to earn extra income for many stay-at-home-moms, business professionals, pretty much for everyone, even men!

Natalie is actually the regional vice president for Arbonne, and such an inspiration for many women. She joined Arbonne in May 2005. Katja: Which products do you use, and which ones are your personal favorites?

Natalie: I use ALL the products!! My favorites are the anti-aging eye cream, chai latte protein shake, makeup primer, clay mask and sea salt scrub. I truly have seen a difference by using them and, my clients have lots of testimonials as well!



Katja: How did you get started with Arbonne?

Natalie:I got started almost three years ago when a friend from college told me about a business opportunity that her father had told her about. She introduced Arbonne to me, and I jumped in right away because I was amazed by how smart the business model was and impressed by the products.



Katja: How we could join in?

Natalie: To become a consultant it is $29 and that gives you a 35% discount on the products. If you decide to do the business you teach group classes about Arbonne and/or one on one appointments with people to teach them about the product philosophy and business model. You start with the people that you know and expand your network that way through word of mouth...the best form of advertising!



Katja: So I can join and be an consultant for 29$, is that a yearly fee or a one time fee?

Natalie: If you just want to purchase the products for yourself there is a renewal fee of $15 after one year. That gives you the 35% discount. The 35% is your commission if you are selling the products retail. There is no minimum order requirement to keep the discount.



Katja: So even if I'm not interested in selling the products for other people, I could be a consultant and get the discount of the products I purchase for myself?

Natalie: Yes, you can be a consultant and simply consume the products at a discount for yourself. There is no obligation to do the business. It's like having a wholesale membership at Costco.



Katja: Tell me more about the earning opportunity and the business model. How it all works after you get the people to sign in and you want to do Arbonne as a business?

Natalie: When someone signs up, they are directly linked to a consultant. The consultant who signs the person up gets an override commission on any orders that they place. This commission is based on what management level they are at in the company. For example, as a consultant you make 4% off your team's volume, District Manager is 8%, Area Manager 14%, Regional Vice President 17% and National Vice President 18%. Those promotions are based on how much volume you and your team are producing per month. The great thing is that everyone has the same amount to gain in this business...and if you sign up a rock star business builder they will end up promoting past you and have the potential to make more money than you, even though you signed them up.



Katja: What is the best about being an Arbonne consultant for you?

Natalie: The best thing is that the products have really changed my skin and my health, and the business has given me financial peace by creating a strong stream of residual income each month. Plus, I earned a white Mercedes, which is a nice perk!



Katja: Wow, a white Mercedes, that's awesome, you really got me now! But you must work a lot...

Natalie: Not really, I work about 20-25 hours/week on my business.
